Business Location Information:  From the Mayor

Mayor Bob Kiss
As Mayor of the City of Burlington, I am pleased to introduce you to one of the most dynamic and beautiful cities in the country.

Located on the shore of Lake Champlain, Burlington is the largest city in Vermont and the hub of a growing metropolitan region.  Our 39,000 citizens enjoy urban convenience in a spectacular natural setting.

An award-winning pedestrian marketplace and one of New England's finest performing arts facilities form the center of our vital downtown.  Our waterfront has come alive with the opening of the Lake Champlain Basin Science Center and exciting, mixed-use development.  And, just minutes away, you'll find some of the best skiing and hiking in the country.

Our success has consistently drawn accolades in recent years.  In 1999, Burlington topped A&E's list of "Top 10 Cities To Have It All."  Maturity Magazine rated Burlington as one of the "50 Best Places to Live" in its May/June 2000 issue.

The information which follows will give you even more reasons to do business in Burlington.  If you need additional information or further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact CEDO or visit the City's website.

Best regards,

Bob Kiss
