Invest EAP
Description: INVEST EAP is a Vermont based, regionally focused employee assistance program.  By providing services through which companies can offer their employees help with personal and family issues, INVEST EAP can save companies money and improve employee morale and effectiveness.

INVEST EAP offers prevention/intervention services for employees and their families to keep personal problems from interfering with work performance in such areas as relationship/marital problems, legal difficulties, mental health, financial problems, elder care and child care.

Services include short term counseling resources, as well as referrals to specialized professionals.  INVEST EAP also provides consultation for supervisors and managers, providing guidance in responding to employees whose personal problems may be impacting their work.

Wage and Hour Program
Description: The Economic Development Council of Northern Vermont is a six county not-for-profit, economic development corporation serving the counties of Caledonia, Essex, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, and Orleans. Through its technical assistance programs, it has assisted communities with infrastructure development including industrial parks, hospitals, and business incubator facilities. The Council operates three revolving loan funds for business and industry.


Northern Vermont Lending Partners
A revolving loan fund that provides short-term, fixed rate loans of $25,000 or less to eligible small businesses. Businesses must be located in Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, or Washington Counties, employ less than 10 full-time employees, and earn gross receipts of less than $500,000. All potential and existing borrowers of NVLP are eligible to receive technical assistance at no charge.
