Vermont Telecom Advancement Center (VTAC)
Description: The Vermont Telecom Advancement Center is a non-profit
organization set up to provide telecommunications education
to small business owners, entrepreneurs, non-profit organization
managers and educators so that they may more efficiently
and effectively manage their business communications.
The goals are:
• to help people understand the latest telecommunications
technology, services, and products available in Vermont;
• to introduce potential users to advanced users, vendors,
and consultants who can help them establish a telecommunication
system that meets their specific needs. 

Tutorials and presentations are held throughout the state
and via Vermont Interactive Television, and are offered at
times to accommodate business owners’ schedules. There is
no charge for VTAC’s services.

Vermont Information Technology Center (VITC)
Description: The Vermont Information Technology Center (VITC) is a
collaboration between the Vermont Technology Council and
Champlain College. VITC brings together state government,
higher education institutions, and private sector organizations
on issues relating to information technology (IT). 

Using VITC’s resources, especially its website, businesses
and individuals can access a wide range of IT education and
training resources provided by colleges and universities,
technical training centers, and for-profit vendors, organized
by region and training type.

Information Technology is an environmentally friendly,
growing industry that provides high-paying jobs that are vital
to the future of Vermont’s economy. VITC helps small businesses
to more effectively use IT in their operations, and
reinforces the positive image of Vermont as a state on the
leading edge of IT.
