| Description: | The Micro Business Development Program is operated statewide through the Vermont Community Action Agencies to promote self-employment among low to moderate income Vermonters. MBDP offers one-on-one counseling, classroom training/workshops, mentoring and peer networking groups to people who are exploring the idea of starting a business or those who want to expand an existing business. MDBP Business Development Specialists also help clients write business plans and get financing through a variety of lending sources. |

| Description: | Thanks to a generous from the Freeman Foundation, the Vermont State Colleges has established this program to assist those U.S. refugees and immigrants who have limited financial resources and a functional use of reading, writing and speaking English. This program will provide the opportunity for qualified student to attend one of five Vermont State Colleges. Scholarships are available to "permanent residents,;" the length of their residency in Vermont does not matter. Applicants cannot be in the U.S. on tourist or student visas. |
