| Description: | Repairs donated vehicles and sells them for the cost of repairs to qualified applicants. GNG's mission is to provide affordable, reliable transportation options for those in need so they may access employment and job training. | Description: |
SSTA is a nonprofit agency providing accessible
transportation for people who have specialized mobility needs. With a fleet of
24 specially equipped vans, SSTA serves the elderly and disabled with
coordinated transportation to many area services:
SSTA also provides demand responsive rides for the public under a strict contract with Chittenden County Transportation Authority (CCTA) to meet the requirements of the American Disabilities Act (ADA). By law, ADA eligible clients are allowed unlimited rides on our vans at the cost of $2.50 per ride. Many ADA transports are subscription rides that are provided on a routine basis for commuting back and forth from work, school, dialysis, etc. Call for details. SSTA also works with Work/Family Directions from Boston to provide services to IBM employees and their elder relatives. |
