Goal: Burlington's waterfront is developed as a
cultural, recreational, social and economic resource for the entire community
through the implementation of the Urban Renewal Plan for the Waterfront
Revitalization District.
Five-Year Focus:
- Support redevelopment of the Moran Plant.
- Support the development of the privately owned lands adjacent to Lake
Street.
- Implement the Interim Use and Stewardship Plan for the Urban
Reserve.
- Develop the Interim Development Area in conformance with
zoning requirements for the area.
- Relocate the Bikepath between College Street and King Street.
- Rebuild the breakwater.
- Underground utility lines on the waterfront.
- Support the establishment of a Public Market.
