2010 Requests for Funding

The city dwill be receiving $964,858 in Community Development Block Grant funding for the 2010 Program Year.  That represents an increase of $71,831 over last year's allocation.

Applications are separated into the Public Service and Development categories because federal law caps the amount of CDBG funding that can be spent on Public Service projects at 15% of the City's total allocation. Applications are further separated into subject categories for convenience; this separation is somewhat subjective as some applications do not fit easily into a category and/or span more than one category. 

All applications are available for public review at the Community & Economic Development Office.  The CDBG Advisory Board reviews the applications during January, February, March and April, and will make recommendations to the Mayor and the City Council.  The meetings of the Board are open to the public.  A meeting schedule is available here.  The Board has now finished its 2010 allocations process, and its final recommendations are shown below.
