Moran Project Receives $100,000 Grant from the State of Vermont
for Environmental Remediation: The State of Vermont
Department of Environmental Conservation has announced that the
Moran project will receive a $100,000 grant to begin the process
of cleaning-up environmental contamination at the site. Mayor
Bob Kiss said that the grant, which was awarded by DEC's
Brownfields Reuse Program, is an important step towards the
redevelopment of the former coal-fired electric generating
plant.
