The aging of the baby boomers will significantly affect age demographics over
the next 25 years. The charts below show projected shifts in the proportion of
different age groups. The projections come from the U.S. Census Bureau. (The
projections, however, are based on 1990 Census data - the Census Bureau has not
yet updated its projections based on the new data.)
