Burlington Racism Study Circle Program

May 2003


A.  The Free Press should run a monthly feature story on "who is Who in Burlington" focusing each month a different culture or race in Burlington. The Free Press should tell success stories about diverse persons and groups. H.O. Wheeler School 5:30-7:30 PM

B.  Improve community relations and reporting by the media/press. Increase positive reporting of ethnic, cultural and community events that promote diversity. Create a group to monitor media and news reporting that seems to be bias. BPD Tuesdays 7-9 PM

C.  Hold Media accountable by meeting with the Free Press Editorial Board; regularly write Op-Eds. Living Room Friday 11:30- 1:30
