Group discussed hearing of United Way via study circle sub-committee sending out letters re: individuals' commitment for signing up for action groups, and the importance of following through with participating in the action groups each person identified as wanting to continue working on.

Discussed need to develop a job description for a VISTA worker. This worker will have some (limited) time to provide to the group and our efforts.

Discussed Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program and Stacie Blakes expressed commitment to this project.

Looked at what responsibilities we would want of the consultant hired to support our group and its efforts; these include designing and implementing a preliminary needs assessment, strategies for on-going funding and assistance with defining short and long-term goals and objectives for this project.

Group will be creating a letter requesting funding from identified agencies to support efforts for this program.
