This overview of lighthouses and aids to navigation was provided by Atlantic Mechanical Inc. During the summer of 2003, Atlantic Mechanical, Inc. will remove the existing light towers— the U.S. Coast Guard contracted Atlantic Mechanical, Inc. to then design and build the replica lights. Other project participants include Kleinschmidt Engineering, Ruelle Design & Illustration, and Burgess Computer.

The restoration of the lighthouses to the breakwater is a part of the City of Burlington's waterfront renovation plan. This project and the rehabilitation of the Burlington Breakwater was made possible through the continuing support of Senator Patrick Leahy.  We hope the information presented here sparks the reader's interest in maritime navigation, recreation, and careers.
