• Community Meeting to Present Village at Leddy Park Plans:  The Ward 4/7 Neighborhood Planning Assembly is sponsoring a community meeting on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Miller Community Center to give the community the opportunity to see the plans to transform the former Thayer School property on North Avenue (presently DMV) into the "Village at Leddy Park."   [Read more]

• ARRA TIGER Grant Award – Burlington Waterfront Access North Project (WFN)  The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) announced today (February 17, 2010) that Burlington will receive a major, and highly sought after, Recovery Act (“Stimulus Bill”) grant. • Interested in Hosting an AmeriCorps*State or AmeriCorps*VISTA member?  CEDO’s Center for Community and Neighborhoods (CCAN) invites non-profit organizations, educational institutions and city agencies interested in having a CEDO AmeriCorps*State or AmeriCorps*VISTA member to submit an application for the 2010-2011 service year. • Terry Precision Cycles Chooses Burlington:  New company to bring 12 jobs and lease 10,500 square feet of commercial space in Burlington. [Read more]
   

• Free Tax Preparation Assistance Available Starting January 27:  Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites, sponsored by the IRS, are open to households with income up to $50,000.  [Read more]
   

• CDBG Applications Received:  The city has received requests for over $1.5 million in Community Development Block Grant funding.  The CDBG Advisory Board began meeting on January 6 to review the applications.  [Read more]
   

• Moran Plant Financing Plan: The Moran Project financing plan presented to the City Council in December 2009 is now available for viewing online.  [Read more]
